About The Program

"Harriet Tubman: The Chosen One" is a dynamic one woman show that takes it's audience on one of the journeys Ms. Tubman took through the Underground Railroad.  The music, props, costumes, and extraordinary acting will give you an understanding of that time, like you've never had before.

Watch as Ms. Briley-Strand changes to over 12 characters, right before your eyes.  Through her portrayal of Harriet Tubman you will see why this great women's strength, courage, faith and steadfastness are still inspiring Americans over eighty years after her death.  She was called the "Moses" of her people, chosen to lead those bound by slavery into the promise land of freedom.

Ms. Briley-Strand has appeared in thousands of public and private elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities throughout the United States and Canada.

We offer the following:

3.  Harriet Tubman: Move Or Die = 10 minutes in costume, the exhibit, Q & A.

4.  Harriet Tubman: Meet The Woman = The exhibit, and a opportunity to meet the woman Harriet Tubman    from the scholar Ms. Briley-Strand through a slide presentation, Q & A.

5.  Traveling Exhibit:  Our exhibit, and artifacts can be viewed.
